Laura earned her Master’s Degree in Marriage and Family Therapy from the University of Akron.  Independently licensed as a Professional Clinical Counselor with the supervision accreditation, she has been practicing for nearly 10 years with families, individuals, and groups. She specializes in the healing and growth of individuals, couples and families. Her areas of expertise include healthy communication, grief/trauma, healing of relationships and family dysfunction, depression/mood disorders, anxiety, personality disorders, adolescent counseling, personal effectiveness, Christian/spiritual counseling, pre-marital/couples counseling, and adjustment/stage of life issues. She is trained in dialectical behavior therapy and cognitive behavioral therapy, focusing on understanding and intervening in the patterns of mood, decisions, and behaviors that result from individual perceptions, emotions and thought patterns.
